Welcome to the Lupus Foundation of America,
Inc. Greater Cleveland Chapter, serving
Cleveland, Cincinnati and Dayton. This web site is presented
to provide you with information and resources to help
you better understand and manage Lupus. Lupus is a chronic
autoimmune disease that is hard to diagnose, difficult
to manage and if not treated can become life threatening.
In simple terms, Lupus develops when the body becomes
"allergic to itself." There is no cure for
Lupus. Lupus affects adult women 10 times more frequently
than men. Lupus is more prevalent than sickle cell anemia,
cerebral palsy and cystic fibrosis, yet it is the least
known of all major diseases. The Lupus Foundation of
America, Inc. is the nation's leading nonprofit,
voluntary health organization. Our mission is to improve
the diagnosis
and treatment of Lupus, support individuals and their
families affected by the disease, increase awareness
of Lupus among health professionals and the public,
and find the cure.

COST: $200.00 per person which will include Lunch, Golf and Dinner

The 2008 Nautica Charity Poker Festival, July 17th (Thursday) through
July 20th (Sunday) will be held at the Powerhouse on the West bank of
the Flats! We could use Volunteers and also appreciate those attending
this fun event!
