Julian Lennon & James Scott Cook "Band Together" for Lupus

(11/24/09) Julian Lennon, son of the legendary John Lennon, and James Scott Cook have teamed up to help support lupus research. Between December 15, 2009 and March 15, 2010 they will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from their new digital single, "LUCY," to the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) and the Saint Thomas' Lupus Trust in London.

"LUCY" is now available for download from iTunes.

Both artists have a personal connection to lupus. James' 92-year-old grandmother, Lucy Cook, has lived with lupus for many years, and Julian's childhood friend, Lucy Vodden, passed away in September at the age of 46 after a long battle with lupus. You may have heard the story that years ago Julian brought home from school a drawing he had made of his classmate Lucy Vodden. He told his dad that the drawing was Lucy in the sky with diamonds. This inspired his father to write one of The Beatles' most famous songs.
